From September 2011 – April 2013, we drove our trusty Sonata in a giant loop around the country as Charlie accepted a new travel nurse assignment every three months. We walked through crunchy golden leaves in a beautiful Vermont autumn, hiked a rocky trail to the top of a mountain in Arizona, and biked across the Golden Gate Bridge. We ate lobster in Maine, elk jerky in Wyoming, and ice cream in just about every city in between. In one year, we watched the sun rise in the Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Yellowstone.
We also met the most wonderful people and relished in learning that though they look and talk differently than both us and each other, we’re all pretty much the same.
So many wonderful memories are wrapped up in our travel nursing adventures, and we tried to capture as many as possible in our original blog, The Scenic Route.
